Japan approves mass production of 3D-printed interceptor drones for deployment by 2027

Japan's Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics Agency (ATLA) has signed a mass-production agreement for the Terra B1, a rocket-launched interceptor drone manufactured using 3D printers. The move aims to rapidly deploy a large unmanned fleet by 2027. Terra B1 is the Japanese counterpart to Terra A1, which has already seen combat use in Ukraine. The number of units and contract price were not disclosed.
