Polish parliament eyes cross-party ban on small alcohol bottles known as "małpki"

Polish lawmakers are discussing a cross-party proposal to ban the sale of small alcohol bottles of up to 200 ml, commonly known as "małpki." The initiative has broad political support across party lines, though regulatory hurdles may complicate implementation. Poland has one of the highest rates of consumption of small-format alcohol in Europe, which is regarded as a significant social problem.
