Poland's digital minister demands €250 million EU fine for Meta over fraudulent ads

Polish Digital Affairs Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski has submitted a formal request to the European Commission to fine Meta €250 million (roughly 1 billion PLN) over fraudulent advertisements on Facebook and Instagram. The application has been sent to Brussels. Gawkowski stated that the "Wild West" era in social media must come to an end.
