Deputy PM Gawkowski demands €250 million fine for Meta

Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski has submitted a formal request to the European Commission to fine Meta €250 million (approximately 1 billion zlotys). Speaking in the Sejm, he declared that the era of asking platforms to self-correct is over and the time for penalties has arrived. Poland is reportedly the first EU member state to take such a formal step against Meta.
