French court recognises flight attendant's breast cancer as occupational disease in landmark ruling
Sophie Lainault, a former Air France flight attendant, won a landmark French court ruling recognising her breast cancer as an occupational disease — a first in the country's aviation industry. She had regularly worked night shifts and been exposed to passive smoking during her career. The ruling could pave the way for similar claims by other aviation workers.
