Polish zloty at one-week low as euro and dollar surge

The Polish zloty weakened sharply on Thursday morning, in line with other regional currencies. The euro, dollar and British pound all hit one-week highs against the zloty, with the Swiss franc also rising. The selling pressure may have been driven by worse-than-expected US PCE inflation data and unsettling news from Eastern Europe, which also weighed on the WIG20 index.
