Trial of alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed set for June 2028

The trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the September 11 attacks, has been set for June 2028. Mohammed has been held at Guantanamo Bay, the isolated US naval base used to detain militants captured during the War on Terror, partly to prevent them from claiming rights under US law.
