Iran and Oman negotiate temporary shipping corridor through Strait of Hormuz

Iran and Oman are in talks to establish a temporary corridor for shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, according to a joint statement from both countries' foreign ministries. The negotiations aim at a controlled resumption of navigation, but the plan faces hurdles over navigation rights, jurisdiction and cost-sharing.
