Kohl's grandson in Bundestag: Ukraine aid is necessity, not charity

Johannes Volkmann, CDU member of the Bundestag and grandson of former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, has called for Germany to continue supporting Ukraine. Speaking to DW, he argued that military and financial aid to Ukraine is not charity but a strategic necessity for European security. Volkmann stressed that Germany has a historical and moral obligation to support a country under attack.
