Nepal-Tibet border floods and landslides kill 165, nearly 1,500 still missing
At least 165 people have been killed by catastrophic floods and landslides in the mountainous region on the Nepal-Tibet border. Nearly 1,500 people remain missing, including hundreds of foreign tourists and pilgrims. Eyewitnesses describe massive walls of mud and water that swept away people, vehicles and entire buildings within seconds. Rescue teams are combing through the devastated area.
