Compulsory health education enters Polish schools from September 2026 — sexual content stays optional

Compulsory health education will be introduced into Polish school timetables from 1 September 2026. Some content covering sexual health will remain optional. The reform is being introduced amid a challenge by Law and Justice (PiS) MPs, who have filed a motion with the Constitutional Tribunal questioning the legality of the new regulations.
