Two airport workers die of malaria at Frankfurt airport

Two workers at Frankfurt Airport have died after contracting malaria. Authorities believe the disease was transmitted by mosquitoes that entered Germany aboard an aircraft arriving from a malaria-endemic region. A similar case was recorded at Frankfurt Airport in 2023.
