Bill Gates warns AI threatens critical thinking at the worst possible time

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates published an essay on GatesNotes warning about the societal consequences of artificial intelligence. He called this "the worst possible moment for people to stop thinking critically" and argued that society needs time to prepare for the "social, political and economic upheaval" AI will bring.
