PiS government paid Polish Post 30m złoty for pulse oximeters that never reached patients

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Poland's PiS-led Ministry of Health paid the Polish Post nearly 30 million złoty for sending and returning pulse oximeters, of which over 370,000 parcels never reached patients and were returned to a warehouse. The findings, reported by Patryk Michalski on TVN24+, are based on a National Revenue Administration audit. Auditors concluded that neither the health ministry nor the postal service properly supervised the programme, resulting in "pointless and wasteful spending of public funds."
