Zakopane refuses to register same-sex marriage — appeal underway

The civil registry office in Zakopane has issued its first refusal to register a same-sex marriage, triggering an appeals process. Mayor Łukasz Filipowicz told Gazeta Wyborcza that the ongoing legal confusion does more harm than good to the LGBT community.
