Heart for 13-year-old Tymek arrived too late, but parents' appeal saved another child

Thirteen-year-old Tymek died on Wednesday at a Warsaw hospital after a donor heart was found too late. The organ was transported from Prague in a special device that kept it beating, but the boy did not survive. However, thanks to his parents' public appeal for a donor, another child was saved, according to cardiac surgeon and transplantologist Prof. Mariusz Kuśmierczyk.
