Rare finds preserved in Viking girl's 1,300-year-old Danish grave
Archaeologists at the Skonager site in Jutland, western Denmark, have uncovered a roughly 1,300-year-old grave of a girl linked to the Vikings. The find is exceptional because the burial chamber contained rare, unusually well-preserved items. The discovery has generated considerable excitement among researchers specialising in the Viking Age.
