Ostrołęka gas plant to cost half of coal project — first turbine firing this year

The gas-fired power plant in Ostrołęka will cost half as much as the previously planned coal plant, according to Sławomir Żygowski, CEO of GE Vernova in Poland. The first turbine firing — a key operational milestone — is scheduled to take place still this year. Żygowski described the project as a model of rational decision-making in a changing energy landscape.
