Medicare's $50 obesity drug program fills 200,000 prescriptions in weeks

The Bridge program, launched July 1, allows eligible Medicare beneficiaries to access obesity drugs for $50 a month. Both CVS and Walgreens report they have each already filled 100,000 prescriptions under the scheme. The rapid uptake signals strong demand for subsidised weight-loss medications among older Americans.
