US banks launch BankChain Alliance to bring blockchain payments to smaller lenders

Major US banks have joined forces to form the BankChain Alliance, a shared blockchain network aimed at giving smaller financial institutions access to tokenized deposits and blockchain-based payments. The network is targeted for launch in 2027.
