Tornado devastates village in southern France, damaging 300 homes

A tornado swept through the village of Pomas in the Aude department of southwestern France, damaging around 300 of the village's 500 houses. Authorities said 100 of the damaged buildings may no longer be safe to inhabit. Dozens of people were injured in what officials described as a rare and traumatic event.
