EU Commission in talks with Meta after US settlement: "Meta can still make commitments in Europe"

European Commission spokesperson for digital affairs Thomas Regnier said the Commission is in ongoing dialogue with Meta following the company's US settlement. He noted that the Commission would not comment on the settlement itself, but stressed that Meta still has the option to make commitments in Europe.
