Swoboda wins 100 m at Maniak Memorial with meeting record of 11.11s
Ewa Swoboda won the 100 metres at the Wiesław Maniak Memorial, dominating from start to finish despite a strong headwind of -1.8 m/s. She set a new meeting record of 11.11 seconds in the semi-finals. The final featured five other competitors who had also broken the 11-second barrier this season, and Jamaica's Ashanti Moore committed a false start. Swoboda took the victory and set a new meeting record.
