Eclipse Chaser Watches Perfect Total Solar Eclipse Over Greenland's Scoresby Sound

On August 12, an eclipse chaser witnessed a total solar eclipse from aboard the cruise ship Sylvia Earle in the remote Scoresby Sound fjord system of eastern Greenland. After more than two years of planning, perfectly clear skies rewarded the trip — his first unobstructed view of the solar corona in 1,210 days. His previous eclipse chase in Texas in 2024 had been foiled by clouds.
