Ex-referee: Ekstraklasa averaging 1.5 serious VAR errors per matchday
Former referee Adam Lyczmański has revealed alarming details about VAR officiating in Poland's PKO Ekstraklasa, identifying seven serious VAR errors so far this season — an average of 1.5 per matchday. At that rate, up to 50 of 306 season fixtures could have distorted results. Lyczmański noted that in one instance referees had no camera coverage and were forced to guess, and that last season Arka Gdynia paid the price for referee mistakes. He is calling on PZPN president Cezary Kulesza to take decisive action.
