Volvo EVs will warn each other about animals and pedestrians on the road

Volvo is rolling out a connected safety update for three of its electric vehicles, adding real-time hazard alerts for animals and vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists. Unlike Google Maps or Waze, the system relies on Volvo cars communicating directly with one another rather than on crowdsourced data. Drivers receive warnings before they would spot the hazard themselves.
