Turkey hails dissolution of Kurdish-led SDF as key step for Syria's stability

Turkey said Wednesday that the dissolution of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) marks a key step toward strengthening state authority and achieving lasting stability in Syria. Ankara has long regarded the SDF as an extension of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which waged a decades-long insurgency against the Turkish state.
