Pulsating muscle graft mimics exercise benefits in mice
Scientists have developed a surgically implanted pulsating muscle graft that caused mice to develop greater muscle mass, strength and bone density — benefits normally associated with physical exercise. The implant mimics muscle contractions, delivering training-like stimuli to the body. The findings were published in Nature.
