Belarus builds military infrastructure near Ukrainian border

In Belarus's Homel region, construction of military infrastructure — including railway tracks and a loading platform — is underway just tens of kilometres from the Ukrainian border. Radio Svoboda reports that a military base is also being built in the region to house one of Belarus's independent special forces brigades. The expansion is raising concern among observers monitoring the border area.
