Canada hits back with retaliatory tariffs on $20bn of US goods

Canada has imposed retaliatory tariffs on roughly $20 billion worth of American goods, targeting steel, dairy products, household appliances and farm equipment. The move comes as the trade war between the two neighbouring countries continues to escalate. Relations between Washington and Ottawa have sharply deteriorated in recent months.
