CIA chief's Moscow trip: first in nearly five years, no explanation offered

CIA Director John Ratcliffe made a brief visit to Moscow — the first trip by a US spy chief to the Russian capital in nearly five years. Neither the White House nor the Kremlin offered any explanation for the purpose of the visit. The trip has fuelled speculation about possible talks between Washington and Moscow.
