Plastic PET cans bypass Poland's deposit system — experts raise alarm

Transparent PET plastic containers resembling traditional metal cans have appeared on the Polish market but fall outside the country's deposit-return system. The recycling industry warns that their construction makes material recovery harder. Experts also caution that consumers may mistake them for regular cans eligible for deposit returns.
