Poland and Spain to jointly buy at least 7 air-to-air refuelling aircraft
Poland and Spain have agreed to jointly purchase at least seven air-to-air refuelling aircraft, funded through the EU's SAFE loan mechanism. Madrid has given the green light for the deal, and Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced Poland will receive the first aircraft by 2030. The minister stressed that without tanker planes, Poland could not fully exploit its F-35 fighter jets.
