Polish Education Ministry won't reverse religion class rules despite bishops' pressure

Poland's Ministry of National Education will not amend its regulation on the organisation of religious education in public preschools and schools, despite a formal appeal from the Presidium of the Polish Bishops' Conference. The ministry's position was conveyed by spokesperson Ewelina Gorczyca. The bishops had called for a return to previous rules governing religion classes.
