AI detects hypertension and diabetes from a 5-second face video

Scientists from the University of Tokyo and the Institute of Science Tokyo have developed an AI algorithm that detects hypertension with over 90% accuracy and diabetes with over 80% accuracy from a five-second face video. The study involved 215 participants and used a high-speed spectroscopic camera. The results were presented at the European Society of Cardiology congress in Munich.
