China's data centres to use more power than South Korea by 2030

China's data centre energy consumption will quadruple by the end of the decade, according to a Wood Mackenzie report. By 2030, facilities serving the country's booming artificial-intelligence sector will require more electricity than South Korea currently consumes. The surge is driven by rapidly growing demand for AI services in China.
