Morocco calls Ceuta "occupied territory" — Spain firmly rejects the claim

A Moroccan minister, speaking before King Muhammad VI, described Ceuta as "occupied Moroccan territory" and called for its "liberation". Madrid swiftly rejected the claim, stating that Ceuta and Melilla are Spanish territory and form the EU's southern border.
