Polish consumer watchdog charges university for inflation-linked tuition hikes

Poland's consumer protection authority (UOKiK) has charged the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology with violating the collective interests of consumers. The academy raised tuition fees for students who enrolled in the 2022/2023 academic year by the inflation rate. The proceedings could result in a fine of up to 10 percent of the institution's annual turnover.
