New arrests in HRE developer scandal as CEO leaves custody and investigation widens

On the same day HRE Group CEO Michał Sapota — suspected of running a criminal organisation and fraud — was released from custody, prosecutors arrested additional people linked to the company. There are at least 1,736 identified victims in the case, with estimated losses of up to three billion zlotys. The investigation continues to expand.
