ZUS warning: Ukrainians with PESEL UKR must verify identity by 31 August or lose 800+ benefit

Some Ukrainian citizens in Poland must confirm their identity at a local municipal office by 31 August 2026. This applies to those who received a PESEL UKR number without presenting a valid travel document. Failure to comply may result in the loss of UKR status from 1 September, and consequently the loss of entitlement to the 800+ child benefit.
