Ocean surface temperatures hit all-time record, Copernicus warns

The EU's Copernicus Earth observation programme has recorded an all-time daily record for ocean surface temperatures. Samantha Burgess of Copernicus warned that "the ocean is under increasing stress." Scientists say the milestone is a clear sign of intensifying pressure on marine ecosystems driven by climate change.
