Poles borrowed 2.68 billion zloty in July as instalment loans surge nearly 24%

Polish lending companies granted 1.58 million loans totalling 2.68 billion zloty in July, according to the Credit Information Bureau (BIK). The biggest growth was in instalment loans, up 18.5% in volume and 23.7% in value year-on-year. The figures point to growing appetite among Poles for consumer credit.
