SpaceX to build $100bn Starbase in Louisiana — first launches in 2029

SpaceX has announced plans to build a new Starbase complex in Louisiana at a cost of $100 billion. The facility will cover 125,000 acres (about 50,585 hectares) and support annual Starship launches toward low-Earth orbit, the Moon and Mars. The first launches from the new base are scheduled for 2029.
