Polish government plans 0.25% levy on alcohol and cigarette sales

The Polish government is working on a new levy of 0.25% on annual sales of cigarettes and alcoholic beverages. The funds are intended to flow into a dedicated Public Health Fund. The charge is estimated to raise around 225 million PLN per year.
