Chinese sculptor Gao Zhen jailed for satirical Mao statues

Chinese sculptor Gao Zhen has been jailed under China's Law on the Protection of Heroes and Martyrs for creating satirical sculptures of Mao Zedong. Supporters have called for his immediate release. The case is another example of repression against artists critical of the Chinese authorities.
