Safe-conduct letters available only to suspects abroad, Supreme Court judge explains

Supreme Court judge Jarosław Matras of the Criminal Chamber explained that issuing a safe-conduct letter automatically lifts pre-trial detention, but the instrument is available only to individuals residing outside Poland. A safe-conduct letter guarantees that a suspect will appear before the court in exchange for personal freedom until the case is concluded.
