Hotel robots on the rise — but empathy remains beyond their reach
Rising labour costs, staff shortages and efficiency demands are fuelling a wave of automation in the hotel industry. Autonomous machines now vacuum hallways, deliver towels and call lifts, while China is building the world's first hotel fully run by AI. Experts warn, however, that robots cannot replicate the human empathy essential to hospitality.
