US congresswoman wants images added to legislation for a "post-literate" future

Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez has proposed adding images to legislation, arguing that laws are written in overly technical language accessible only to a narrow group of legislative staffers. She wrote that "for too long, our laws have been written for 'staffer bros' with bow ties." The initiative aims to adapt lawmaking to what she calls a "post-literate future."
