XCancel shuts down after cease-and-desist letter from X Corp.
XCancel, a service that allowed users to browse X (formerly Twitter) content without logging in, has been shut down after receiving a cease-and-desist letter from X Corp. on August 24 at 8PM EST. The operators announced the suspension on the XCancel website, saying they are seeking legal advice and cannot share further details. The service had been running for two years.
