Syrian Democratic Forces dissolved after integration into Syrian army

Mazloum Abdi, commander-in-chief of the Syrian Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), announced the group's dissolution in a televised speech from the presidential palace in Damascus. The move followed the integration of SDF fighters into the Syrian military. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa described it as a major victory.
